Scandal: Lent at The Way
Are. You. Serious?! She said what?! Really? He did that? I don’t believe it!!
Scandals aren’t just bad things. Sadly, bad things happen quite often. Scandals deal with surprisingly bad things that we didn’t see coming, things that “shouldn’t” happen the way they do. The events of Jesus’ suffering and death would definitely qualify.
But there is more to this scandal than what transpired in Jerusalem 2,000 years ago. The scandal includes us all! Sadly, it is the scandal of our sin that caused all that Jesus endured. Yet even greater is the scandal of God’s grace, his undeserved love for us, that moved him to send his own Son to die for us.
During this season of Lent, we will unpack the scandal that took place 2,000 years ago and its significance for us still today.
Prepare your hearts for Easter during the Lenten Season at The Way Church. Each week we will look deeper into the events leading up to Christ’s crucifixion and death. By doing this we will have a better understanding and appreciation for Christ’s resurrection on Easter Morning.
Sunday Lenten Worship – 10AM February 18-March 18, Regal Cinemas on Plank Rd.
