Have you heard of a Live Nativity? In case you haven’t the idea is this: real live animals and human actors recreate the manger scene at Christmas. Well this year The Way is planning to recreate the scene of Jesus’ tomb at Good Friday and Easter.

It starts on Good Friday (March 30, 6:30PM) at Market Square in Downtown Fredericksburg. A quiet, reflective worship service will take us through Jesus’ seven words on the cross. At the close of the service Jesus’ body (played by an actor) will be carried from the cross to the tomb. Guards will be posted outside the tomb day and night through the weekend until we gather again on Easter Morning to see the tomb – opened and empty.

Continue the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection at our Easter Sunday (April 1) worship. This service will also take place in Market Square at 6:30AM and 10AM. He is risen!

Feel free to bring a lawn chair if you have one, and RSVP to our Facebook Event Page if you know you can make it! We look forward to seeing you there.
