Only A Holy God

Verse 1

Who else commands all the hosts of heaven

Who else could make every king bow down

Who else can whisper and darkness trembles

Only a Holy God

Verse 2

What other beauty demands such praises

What other splendour outshines the sun

What other majesty rules with justice

Only a Holy God

Chorus 1

Come and behold Him

The One and the Only

Cry out, sing holy

Forever a Holy God

Come and worship the Holy God

Verse 3

What other glory consumes like fire

What other power can raise the dead

What other name remains undefeated

Only a Holy God

Chorus 2

Come and behold Him

The One and the Only

Cry out, sing holy

Forever a Holy God

Come and worship the Holy God

Come and behold Him

The One and the Only

Cry out, sing holy

Forever a Holy God

Come and worship the Holy God

Words of Forgiveness

P: Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

(Psalm 32:1)

Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them.

(Psalm 32:2)

Let us confess our sins to the Lord.

C: Almighty and merciful Father,

we have strayed from your ways like lost sheep.

We have followed what we have devised and desired in our hearts.

We have offended you and sinned against your holy law.

We have done those things that we should not have done,

and we have not done those things that we should have done.

Have mercy on us, Lord!

Spare us, forgive us, and restore us.

according to your promises in Christ Jesus.

Silence for meditation and reflection.

God, our merciful Father, has forgiven all our sins. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Redeemer and Savior.

Jesus paid the penalty for our guilt by his death on the cross and freed us from death by his resurrection from the grave. We have peace with God now and forever.

Amen.

Only A holy God

Verse 4

Who else could rescue me from my failing

Who else would offer His only Son

Who else invites me to call Him Father

Only a Holy God

Only my Holy God

Chorus 2

Come and behold Him

The One and the Only

Cry out, sing holy

Forever a Holy God

Come and worship the Holy God

Come and behold Him

The One and the Only

Cry out, sing holy

Forever a Holy God

Come and worship the Holy God

Song of Praise

Make Me A light

Make Me a Light

By Caleb Schmiege

Verse 1

When he died I died with him

Dead to self and dead to sin

Crucified is all the pride held deep within

So may there be less of me and more of him.

Verse 2

If I suffer for the cause,

It is joy, it is not loss.

Not ashamed to bear the name, I follow him.

Yet may there be less of me and more of him.

Chorus

Make me a light reflecting Christ

To the praise of him alone

For no glory of my own.

I’m just a mirror shining bright with Jesus’ light.

Verse 3

May the love that this world sees

Be the love of Christ in me:

Love that loves the loveless one, still dead in sin.

Yet may there be less of me and more of him.

Chorus

Make me a light reflecting Christ

To the praise of him alone

For no glory of my own.

I’m just a mirror shining bright with Jesus’ light.

Verse 4

Cause he rose, I too will rise,

Join my Lord in paradise.

Confidence I have in this: I’ll rise again.

Yet may there be less of me and more of him.

Chorus (x2)

Make me a light reflecting Christ

To the praise of him alone

For no glory of my own.

I’m just a mirror shining bright with Jesus’ light.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Thanksgiving

We don’t primarily gather offerings to simply keep ministry going (though that is certainly a blessing of our offerings)

Primarily, we gather offerings to glorify God. We consider what God has given us to manage (everything we have), and we offer a portion of what he has given us back to him. Giving an offering is an opportunity for you to express faith in and say “thank-you” to a God who has made life-giving promises to you!

You can do just that by clicking the button below.

Prayer & Thanksgiving

Prayer Requests

The Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.

Amen.

Blessing

Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you.

The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.

The Lord look on you with favor and † give you peace.

Closing Song

In christ Alone

In Christ Alone

By Keith Getty & Stuart Townend

Verse 1

In Christ alone my hope is found,

He is my light, my strength, my song;

This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

What heights of love, what depths of peace,

When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!

My Comforter, my All in All,

Here in the love of Christ I stand.

Verse 2

In Christ alone! - who took on flesh,

Fullness of God in helpless babe.

This gift of love and righteousness,

Scorned by the ones He came to save:

Till on that cross as Jesus died,

The wrath of God was satisfied -

For every sin on Him was laid;

Here in the death of Christ I live.

Verse 3

There in the ground His body lay,

Light of the world by darkness slain:

Then bursting forth in glorious day

Up from the grave He rose again!

And as He stands in victory

Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,

For I am His and He is mine -

Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

Verse 4

No guilt in life, no fear in death,

This is the power of Christ in me;

From life's first cry to final breath,

Jesus commands my destiny.

No power of hell, no scheme of man,

Can ever pluck me from His hand:

Till He returns or calls me home,

Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.
