Opening Song

His Mercy Is More

His Mercy Is More

By Matt Boswell & Matt Papa

Chorus

Praise the Lord!

His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness, new every morn

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Verse 1

What love could remember no wrongs we have done

Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not their sum

Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Chorus

Praise the Lord!

His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness, new every morn

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Verse 2

What patience would wait as we constantly roam

What Father, so tender, is calling us home

He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Chorus

Praise the Lord!

His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness, new every morn

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Words of Forgiveness

Pastor: Heavenly Father, every good and perfect gift comes from you, including the physical gifts you pour out into our lives. You intend these treasures to be used for your glory and in service to our neighbors.

All: We repent for being selfish in the use of the treasures you have given. Forgive us and let your peace rule our lives.

Pastor: Dear Savior Jesus, though you were rich, yet for our sakes you became poor, so that through your poverty we might become rich.

All: All too often we have been rich toward ourselves instead of rich towards you out of thanks for our salvation won for us by your cross and empty tomb. Forgive us and let your love fill our lives.

Pastor: O Holy Spirit, you have worked faith in our hearts and you cause us to produce good fruit.

All: We are sorry that our financial stewardship often fails to qualify as good fruit motivated by your love. Forgive us and live within us.

Pastor: As a called servant of the Triune God, I announce to you his grace and forgiveness. On behalf of and by the command of our Savior Jesus Christ, I forgive you all of your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

His mercy Is More

Verse 3

What riches of kindness He lavished on us

His blood was the payment, His life was the cost

We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Chorus

Praise the Lord!

His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness, new every morn

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

End Chorus

Praise the Lord!

His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness, new every morn

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more

Sermon Song

Savior of the Nations Come

Savior of the Nations Come

Text by Ambrose of Milan & Martin Luther; Tune by Johann Walter

Verse 1

Savior of the nations, come,

Virgin’s Son, make here your home!

Marvel now, O heaven and earth,

That the Lord chose such a birth.

Verse 2

Not by human flesh and blood,

by the Spirit of our God,

Was the Word of God made flesh

Woman’s Offspring, pure and fresh.

Verse 3

Wondrous birth! O wondrous Child

Of the Virgin undefiled!

Though by all the world disowned,

Yet to be in heaven enthroned.

Verse 4

From the Father's throne He came

And ascended to the same,

Captive leading death and hell

High the song of triumph swell!

Verse 5

Praise to God the Father sing,

Praise to God the Son, our King,

Praise to God the Spirit be

Ever and eternally.

Song of Praise

Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus

Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus

Arrangement by Madi Wuebben and Lexington Road

Verse 1

Come, Thou long expected Jesus

Born to set Thy people free;

From our fears and sins release us,

Let us find our rest in Thee.

Israel's strength and consolation,

Hope of all the earth Thou art;

Dear desire of every nation,

Joy of every longing heart.

(Repeat Verse 1)

Chorus

Come thou long expected Jesus.

Come thou long expected King.

Verse 2

Born Thy people to deliver,

Born a child and yet a King,

Born to reign in us forever,

Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.

By Thine own eternal Spirit

Rule in all our hearts alone;

By Thine all sufficient merit,

Raise us to Thy glorious throne.

Chorus x2

Come thou long expected Jesus.

Come thou long expected King.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Thanksgiving

We don’t primarily gather offerings to simply keep ministry going (though that is certainly a blessing of our offerings)

Primarily, we gather offerings to glorify God. We consider what God has given us to manage (everything we have), and we offer a portion of what he has given us back to him. Giving an offering is an opportunity for you to express faith in and say “thank-you” to a God who has made life-giving promises to you!

You can do just that by clicking the button below.

Prayer Requests

The Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.

Amen.

Blessing

Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you.

The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.

The Lord look on you with favor and † give you peace.

Closing Song

Now thank we all our God

Now Thank We All Our God

Text by Martin Rinkart; Tune by Johann Cruger

Verse 1

Now thank we all our God

With hearts and hands and voices,

Who wondrous things has done,

In whom his world rejoices,

Who from our mother's arms

Has blessed us on our way

With countless gifts of love

And still is ours today.

Verse 2

Oh, may this bounteous God

Through all our life be near us,

With ever-joyful hearts

And blessed peace to cheer us

And keep us in his grace

And guide us when perplexed

And free us from all ills

In this world and the next.

Verse 3

All praise and thanks to God

The Father now be given,

The Son, and him who reigns

With them in highest heaven,

The one eternal God,

Whom earth and heav'n adore!

For thus it was, is now,

And shall be evermore.
